Welcome to our website, I hope it gives you a flavour of our school.
Ings Farm Primary School is situated in the coastal town of Redcar, at the mouth of the River Tees. It primarily serves the eastern side of the town but it is also the school of choice for families from a wide area.
Ings Farm Primary School is a highly successful school and was rated ‘Outstanding’ in its 2011 Ofsted inspection. We are proud of our pupils, not only because of their high standards of attainment but also for the responsible, caring and confident individuals that they are. We know that children achieve well when they are enthused by their lessons, and we endeavour to make every lesson engaging and relevant, as well as reflecting their own individual needs.
Ours is very much a community school and our doors are always open to parents. We recognise that teachers and parents are truly partners in every child’s education. Most children are with us from their first day at Nursery until they leave us aged 11, so we get to know them and their families really well. We also offer before and after school provision for parents via our onsite childcare provision SCOOT.
We work closely with other local primaries that have formed a partnership called the ‘Landmark Teaching Alliance’. Because of this, we are able to share the high levels of staff expertise across the schools to the advantage of the pupils in our care. Staff training, joint learning experiences and transition events are all frequently shared within this cluster of collaborative schools.
